When we closed on the house, we were also about 2 weeks away from walking down the aisle at the Rockdale royal wedding. Let me explain…We both grew up in Rockdale, TX. If you’ve never heard of it, I’m not surprised! Elliot’s first name is William, and my real name is Katherine. Remember Prince William and Katherine (Kate) Middleton? Anyone?
I’m not calling myself a princess. Not at ALL! (Well, sometimes Elliot calls me a princess when I get whiny about having to do laundry or dishes…I mean, who likes that stuff?) Our wedding just so happened to fall shortly after the real-deal royal wedding, and someone happened to mention our wedding in the Rockdale Reporter. Check out the article. We’re small-town famous! ;)
Too bad we aren’t paid like royalty! Elliot & I both work full-time to support our DIY habits and our three furry children left to right: Cassie (Alias: Deputy Casserole), Lilly (Aliases: Lilly Bean and Sherif Lil), and Monkey (Alias: Robot Johnson).
Aren’t they adorable? If you’re wondering what kind of dogs they are, well, we're not sure! They're from the animal shelter. Cassie is some sort of blue heeler mix, and Lilly is our hound dog. I may be partial, but I think shelter pups make the best pets! Monkey is actually a Craigslist find.
